I am a passionate woman after God's own heart. I truly desire to love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with my life. I am not nor do I pretend to be the perfect little wife and homemaker. I think of my life as a journey and I am always striving to live in the present rather than the past or the future. It's a delicate balance to learn from the past yet look hopefully toward the future without being consumed by either. I home school my children and there are many reasons why!. I started this "practical tools and advice" company as a result of my intense desire to encourage other mothers in their role as managers of their homes and families. We are the mom's and dad's of many precious souls called to train them up in righteousness. Let us press on toward the goal and encourage and pray for one another to walk humbly in love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, kindness so that we may live self-controlled, Spirit-filled lives. I love quotes and this is one I say often to my children...I'm sure someone said it before me but I kinda think I thought it up on my own. "Being different makes a difference! Being normal makes you indifferent." anyway I like it.

This is our 2007 family Christmas picture and family pictures are not our favorite thing. We may look happy but it took us 84 shots, some bribery and a few threats to create this facade. I can't say for sure when we'll do this again. I am hoping sometime before everyone grows up and moves out. Of course I'm kidding...we'll do it again soon.
